Born in Montreal in 1975, Jasey-Jay joined brother Jayme-Jay and parents Jay and Micheline Anderson in their Laurentian home at Val-Morin, Quebec, in the heart of one of Canada’s most active ski resort areas.

Jay and Micheline, both avid skiers and ski instructors, met on the benches of the Mont Tremblant ski school in the early 70’s. After a few years in the ski business, they settled onto a 100-acre tract of land in Val-Morin, where they started their log-home manufacturing business, and began raising a family. As their two boys grew older, the family enjoyed cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, motorbikes, fishing, hiking and more on their mountain property, a stone throw away from the Belle Neige ski area.

When Jayme discovered snowboarding, a new sport passionately advocated by local ski school director and pivotal promoter of the sport, Pierre Verrot, he was instantly enchanted. With some brotherly persuasion, Jasey tried the new thrill and soon both brothers joined the Quebec Snowboarding Team and began racing weekly.

Jayme-Jay pursued an intense snowboarding career and took 22nd place at the FIS world Championship race in Austria in the mid-90’s. He then retired from racing to study coaching and to work in the family business. Jasey-Jay continued on, having mastered all six disciplines of the sport and initially participating in as many events. This four time world champion is now concentrating his efforts on PSL, PGS and SBX.
